Natural Wonder
Devil's Throat
Let your soul be satisfied
with the odd beauty of this landscape
that although the world walk in truth
you'll never find, like this, nothing.
Good and bad dynamic and changing
find here, from ist name
keep in your heart of man humble
a true and consistent message.
Meditate and feel the deep emotion
contemplating the vibrant climax
eternal mist that is circled.
And do not try to describe it in your voice
only he leans his forehead against the abyss
is the mirror of the word GOD.

Churrasco - Traditional Brazilian Dish
Brazilian were the first to raise cattle in South America, imported from Cape Verde to São Paulo in the 1530s. Churrasco (pronounced shoo-RAS-koo) or Brazilian barbecue was the traditional staple food of the Gauchos or Cowboys of Southern Brazil for centuries before it spread to Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. It has become very fashionable around the world. There are called churrascaria de rodizio because waiters move from table to table bringing different types of meats on skewers from which they slice portions onto your plate.
In Foz do Iguaçu, you can try a very good Churrasco... I have been, in a very good Churrascaria this weekend, and I highly recommend to all my guests...
This place is called La Cabaña Churrascaria, it is a Rodizio Style.

Alberto Santos Dumont (July 20, 1873 - July 23, 1932)
GOOGLE made a tribut to Santos Dumont on the last July 20th...
Do you know who was Santos Dumont???
He was a Brazilian aviation pioneer, who had an important contribution on the expropriation of the Iguassu Falls, which on that time (1916), belonged to the Uruguayan Farmer Mr. Jesus Val.
"The Iguassu, without any exaggeration, is a marvel!", said passionately Dumont to the newspaper O Estado de São Paulo, during his visit to Foz do Iguaçu.
In tribute to Santos Dumont it was created a square at the end of the Brazilian side of the Iguassu National Park trail, next to Porto Canoas Space, where visitors can contemplate the Statue of the Illustrious aviation pioneer with the lush Iguassu Falls in the background.
Alberto Santos Dumont, was a Brazilian aviation pioneer. The heir of a wealthy family of coffee producers, Santos Dumont dedicated himself to science studies in Paris, France, where he spent most of his adult life.
He designed, built, and flew some of the first practical dirigibles, demonstrating that routine, controlled flight was possible. This "conquest of the air" in particular his winning the Deutsch de la Meurthe prize on October 19, 1901on a flight that rounded the Eiffel Tower, made him one of the most famous people in the world during the early 20th century.
In addition to his pioneering work in airships, on 23 October 1906 Santos-Dumont, flying the 14-bisor Oiseau de proie (French for "bird of prey"), made the first flight of an airplane to be witnessed by the European press and certified by the Aéro Club de France and the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI).

Helicopter Flight over the Iguassu Falls
It is different ways to see the Falls....
You can see from the Brazilian Side....
From the Argentinean Side...
From the bottom, by boat...
And from the top....
An unforgettable experience... the view from the top, by helicopter will show you a full panorama of each peace of this Wonder of the Nature...
If you come to Iguassu, you might feel this experience...
It is two different flights...
The short flight which takes 10' over the National Park and Iguassu Falls, costs U$ 110 per person, with a minimum of three people at the Helicopter, and
The long flight which takes 35'.... besides the National Park and Iguassu Falls, also takes you to the town of Foz do Iguaçu, over the Fraternity Bridge (Tancredo Neves Bridge), that links Brazil to Argentina, to the 3 Land Marks, where Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina meet, over the Friendship Bridge, that links Brazil to Paraguay, over the Itaipu Dam, one of the biggest Power Plant in the World and also one of the Wonders of the World, and of course the Expectacular Iguassu Falls... this one costs U$ 1200 the flight, taking a maximum of 4 people.
Come to Brazil... Visit the Falls....
We are waiting for you!!!
Planning UR trip to Iguassu?
You've come to the right place!!!
Would like to tell you some important things...
Visa Requirements:
Iguassu Falls is between Brazil and Argentina. If you want to see both sides of the Falls you will have to abide by the VISA and Passport requirements for both countries.
To avoid troubles, it is very important to have your VISA (when required), before you leave your Country, since you are here, it takes more then a week to get a VISA, when they approve.
Remembering that besides the Iguassu Falls, we are also in a place, where you can visit Three Countries,(Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina) in case you want to visit Paraguay, take a look also if your country needs VISA.
Vaccinations:
To come to Brazil, is recommended the Yellow Fever vaccination, for people that will visit the States bellow:
Amazonas, Amapa, Macapa, Roraima, Rondonia, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo, São Paulo, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Goiás and Distrito Federal.
The ones who are interested in take it, must take the vaccine ten days before getting to the risk area. The vaccine is effective and protect you for 10 years.
What to bring:
Comfortable Shoes, it is very important... no high hills (to walk through the trails) on the Falls. The walkways are quite easy, in some parts you can get wet.
Some people feel comfortable to walk on sandals, others prefer hiking shoes, I recommend the one you feel better.
Hat, for the heat is extremely important.
Sunscreen, it is forbidden to forget it.
Insect Repellent, it is not all year around that you will find mosquitoes around here, but I highly recommend this product in your luggage.
Quick drying clothes, this is a very important tip, during the summer you can sweat a lot, making your clothes wet and uncomfortable, since we are in a Subtropical Rain Forest, you can always have the chance to take a shower, when the Falls has a big volume of water, depending on the wind direction, be prepared to get wet, and also we have some tours where you will get completely wet.
Currency, around Iguassu (also known as the Triple Frontier Region), generally the Brazilian Real, the Argentinean Peso, the US Dollar and the Euro are all accepted. If you are in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, they'll take US Dollars or Brazilian Reais. It is important to say, that when you visit the Iguassu National Park on the Argentinean side you have to pay the entrance fee in Argentinean Pesos and in cash.
Length of Visit, I recommend you a minimum of 3 days, one day to explore the Brazilian side of the Falls and the different activities we have on the Park, as the Macuco Safari Boat Ride, Rafting, Rapel, have a good lunch at Porto Canoas Restaurant facing the falls, visit the Bird Park, do an Helicopter flight over the Falls, and much more. Another day to explore the Argentinean side of the Falls, that is much longer than the Brazilian part, it is also possible to do a boat ride from Argentinean side, and at night take a look on the dinner show... and why the third day? We cannot forget the Itaipu Dam, one of the biggest power plant in the world and of course depending on which hotel you will stay, it is worth to enjoy and take a rest, take a time for shopping, and get prepared for your next destination...

The Legend of Iguassu Falls
The Legend of the Iguassu Falls dates from the time of the Caingangues Indians who lived in the region around the Iguassu River.
The Caingangues Indians believed in a god named Mboi whose physical form was that of a serpent. The Chief of the tribe, Igobi has a very beautiful daughter, Naipi who was to be consecrated to the god Mboi and to live her life in worship of him.
As legend has it, there was also a young warrior in the tribe named Tarobá who was in love with Naipi from the moment he saw her. On the day when the whole tribe was celebrating the consecration of Naipi to Mboi, Tarobá fled in a canoe with Naipi.
When the god Mboi heard what had happened he twisted his serpentine body deep into the earth creating a gigantic crack and as the river crashed over the newly shaped land the waterfalls were formed. The young lovers were taken over the waterfalls by the powerful waters and sank forever.
Legend states that Naipi became one of the rocks below the Falls which is constantly pummelled by the waters thundering down from above. As for Tarobá, he became a palm tree on the bank inclining over the river. Beneath this palm tree is a cave where Mboi watches eternally over the young lovers.
